To provide the core functionality of adding a GPS stamp, we request access to your device's location via the browser's Geolocation API.
- Local Photo Processing: All image processing (merging the map, coordinates, and timestamp with your photo) occurs locally in your browser’s memory. Your photos are never uploaded to, stored on, or seen by our servers.
- Usage & Metadata Logs: When you download or export an image, our system logs basic technical metadata. This includes the date/time of the request, GPS coordinates (latitude/longitude), general location (city/country), and any project labels you manually entered.
- Purpose: This metadata is used solely for internal analytics to understand regional usage trends and to optimize the performance of our reverse-geocoding features.
Standard Log Files
GPS Map Camera Online follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected by log files includes:
- Internet Protocol (IP) addresses
- Browser type and version
- Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Date and time stamps
- Referring/exit pages
- Number of clicks
